Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
