Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of heroes who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could assist the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
