I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
